For many years we have visited the local day cares in Bedford County with our Bookmobile to allow the children the experience of visiting the library while never leaving their day cares. In July of 2015 our bookmobile was destroyed by fire. Thankfully, through many donations we have been able to replace the Bookmobile and have resumed our day care route in January 2017.
We also have an outreach program in place for our Senior Centers and Post Offices in the County with which we make book drops on a quarterly basis.
