The Friends of the SBCP Library are having their Annual Author's Luncheon featuring author J.C. (Chris) White! Chris is a suburban planner, technical writer, and novelist. A lifelong lover of words and worlds, he's traveled widely with his wife Emily, always returning to write about it. His career has spanned undercover drug enforcement, private investigation, defense contracting, technical writing—and the most dangerous world of all, suburban planning. Through it all, words remained the one honest thing—sharp when needed, gentle when they could afford it. A national award-winning planner and debut novelist at sixty-one, Chris isn't starting a career; he's clearing the table for it.

The Author's Luncheon will be on Tuesday, October 6th at Noon. It will be held at the Fly Arts Center, 204 S Main Street, Shelbyville, TN 37160. Individual tickets can be purchased for $20 each at the Library starting August 10th. A full table for 8 can be purchased for $160. Sponsorships for the Library are also available for $300, which will include 8 tickets.
