The image promotes the Scribes Society at the Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library, meeting for writers on 1st & 3rd Saturdays.

If you have dreamed of becoming a writer, poet, memoirist, biographer, dramatist, or news reporter but don't know how to launch your writing career, the Scribes Society can help. This group will hold instructional meetings mentored by local authors who will share how they overcame challenges to sell their works.

Scribes Society will meet on Saturday, February 21st from 2 - 4:30 pm. They meet on the first and second Saturdays of each month.

You must be at least 18, have a basic grasp of spelling and grammar, and have an idea of what type of writing you want to produce. Please fill out a registration form that can be found at the SBCP Library front desk counter and turn your form into the front desk staff.
