Shelbyville Wine Walk on the Square 2022: Our Best Yet!

The 12th Annual Wine Walk around the Shelbyville Square was held on Friday, December 9th to great success! After a week of rainy days, the night was pleasant & lots of folks were ready to get out and stroll the Square, enjoy the delicious wine samples, and have fun shopping at the local boutiques and shops on the beautifully decorated Shelbyville Square.

The 2022 Wine Walk raised over $4000 to donate to the Library this year, double what it has raised in the past!

A record number of attendees participated in this year’s event, as each shop sold out of 2022 Wine Glasses, featuring a sketch of the old Argie Cooper Public Library building (currently The Shops at Main & McGrew). Many shops, including Heritage Jewelers, had to pull out glasses left over from previous years to answer the demand, and even sold out of those! It was evident that the community was ready to get back into the Christmas Spirit and have a wonderful time of shopping and fun, while also supporting the Shelbyville – Bedford County Public Library. The 2022 Wine Walk raised over $4000 to donate to the Library this year, double what it has raised in the past. The Library Board of Directors & Staff would like to thank the Community for such a generous showing of support and the Merchants for participating and always being willing to help out their local library!

We look forward to taking a more active role in the night’s event in 2023, as we plan on being on the square and having some non-alcoholic offerings for our supporters!
